At this reunion in 2010, some of the "bleekneusjes" (=pale noses) got back together for the first time after the war. This reunion was organized by the May 4-5 committee of Reeuwijk, on the original ship, now called the ALIB2.

Hundreds of children's transports like this were carried out during the war. All by volunteers, people who, at the risk of their own lives, provided children of others with food and thereby saved their lives. A total of 40,000 children were evacuated in the last year of the war and taken in by families, for free, in the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel and North Holland.
